Yarram Healthcare Centre
The Yarram Healthcare Centre is a modern medical facility designed by McBride Charles Ryan to enhance community health services in Yarram, South Gippsland. Completed in September 2020, this integrated centre features VMZINC cladding with an Azengar finish, applied using a flat lock panel profile for a sleek and durable exterior. The design pays homage to the region's architectural heritage, incorporating elements reminiscent of traditional federation architecture, particularly through its striking front verandah. Built by TS Constructions and installed by JM Cladding, the centre consolidates various health services under one roof, promoting collaboration among healthcare professionals while ensuring community accessibility. A standout feature is its distinct curved walling, made possible by the unique properties of VMZINC; as a soft and malleable metal, zinc allows for complex designs that incorporate intricate curves. This flexibility enabled the architects to create a fluid and inviting façade that enhances aesthetic appeal and functionality. The use of zinc not only contributes to the building's modern look but also ensures durability and sustainability, making it ideal for innovative healthcare architecture.
